EFI & COI together were instrumental in initiating PEACE conferences all over North India in 2007. Over 3000 key leaders and pastors were equipped in seven major cities. We are grateful for the vision of Pastor Rick Warren for the PEACE events. The next conference is taking place this week and will be over the 2nd of February in Dehradun in Uttarakhand. Mike Cosntantz from Saddleback has been here to encourage everyone in the process.

Other Current Efforts
The Battered Women’s home is almost complete after many Indiayears of waiting. We want to thank the Lord for this building. This is being named “Elaina Hall” for the encouragement and motivation from Elaina Dulane. The opening is being planned for some time in June 2008. This home will cater to the needs of women who are abused and left to fend for themselves. We require furnishing for the center; kindly pray for this need.

In North Delhi another computer training center was inaugurated on Jan 1st to cater to the needs of women who could not leave their home. The local counselor and dignitaries came to witness and bless the training facility. There are four groups of girls who have been undergoing this training.

The Kashmir project has suffered due to the hardliners and the school had to be moved twice in the past few months. Pastor Paul and our team have been facing difficulties from various fronts. Kindly continue to lift them up in your prayers. The team in Kashmir is making all efforts to do their best.

The Masters Trainers program has started and it is making good progress. We praise God for all the provision that came along to train the master trainers. We praise God for a good faculty. Timothy Das has given it a good direction. We believe that this will transform the whole of North India.

Slum schools have been doing well in the community. Kindly pray for the children during the intense cold wave that has swept the whole of North India. Today the government has announced a holiday for the primary schools for three days.

Prayer requests.

  1. Pray for the Master Trainers program that will train 60 master trainers over the year that they will be a blessing to the people around and to all the participating organizations.
  2. Pray for the required finances for the completion and furnishing of the Battered Women’s Home. It needs lots of furnishings like beds, cupboards, linen, kitchen furnishings, and equipment etc.
  3. Pray for comfort and PEACE during the persecution that is going on in Orissa and rest of the country including the Kashmir area that the Lord will strengthen the teams there.
